By The Associated Press

Washington State football safety Xavier Hicks has pleaded guilty to two gross misdemeanors after being charged with two felonies in February.

Hicks pleaded guilty to attempted third-degree assault for putting the contact lenses of teammate-roommate Grady Maxwell in rubbing alcohol after a dispute over an unpaid cable TV bill, and also to credit-card theft.
