KEARNS, Utah -- The Kennewick Bandits punched Fairbanks, Alaska, a ticket home Monday with a 12-7 win in a loser-out game at the Pacific Northwest AA (Junior) American Legion regionals in Kearns, Utah.
Gregg Lowry scattered five hits and struck out four over seven innings before being relieved by A.J. Henderson and Ty Jackson for an inning apiece.
"Sanders and Jackson played a key role," Kennewick coach Dave Price said. "They came out of the bullpen and put them in check."
Austin Bartelson had a double, a triple and five RBIs for the Bandits, who play Powell, Wyo., 11:30 a.m. today in the semifinal.
The winner moves on to face Laurel, Mont., at 4:30 p.m. in the championship game.
