Dust Devils fall in road trip finale

By the Herald staff

VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- The Tri-City Dust Devils lost 2-1 to the Vancouver Canadians on Tuesday afternoon in the final game of their eight-game road trip.

Tri-City (34-24) went 5-3 on the trip against the Yakima Bears and the Canadians.

The Dust Devils get to enjoy their final off-day of the regular season before starting a series against East Division rival Spokane on Thursday night at Gesa Stadium.

All the scoring in Tuesday's game took place in the second inning. Tri-City scored its only run on Jose Gonzalez's RBI groundout, but Vancouver answered with two runs in its half of the inning thanks in part to two Tri-City errors.
