KEIZER, Ore. -- Ryne Price singled with two outs in the 10th inning, and the West-leading Salem-Keizer Volcanoes handed the Tri-City Dust Devils a second straight one-run loss, taking a 6-5 decision Sunday.
The East-leading Dust Devils (12-4) suffered their first road loss of the season Saturday against the Volcanoes (12-4), also seeing S-K score the winning run in its final at-bat.
Tri-City took a 1-0 lead in the top of the fourth inning on a solo home run by Bo Bowman, who went 2-for-5 and drove in four runs.
The Dust Devils trailed 5-2 in the seventh when Bowman delivered again, a two-out double that unloaded the bases and tied the score.
Tri-City starter Sheng-An Kuo had a rough outing, giving up eight hits, three walks and five earned runs in 41/3 innings. But the bullpen gave the Dust Devils a chance to get back in the game, with Craig Bennigson providing 32/3 scoreless innings and Charles Ruiz throwing a shutout inning.
