Dust Devils to add 600 more box seats

The Tri-City Dust Devils and the City of Pasco announced Wednesday that 600 new box seats will be installed at Gesa Stadium in time for the Northwest League opener.

The new box seats are the same style used at Safeco Field in Seattle and Coors Field, home of the Dust Devils' parent club, the Colorado Rockies.

The seats will be installed in the upper reserved section of the stadium behind home plate by by Nor-Pac Seating Co.

"With the anticipated high number of sellouts in the lower box this season, the new box seats in the upper section will give our fans another great seating option," Monica Ortega, the Dust Devils Vice President/general manager, said in a news release.

The Dust Devils begin the season June 17 in Vancouver, British Columbia. The home opener vs. Salem-Keizer is June 22.

In addition, about 400 of the bleacher backs from the seats currently in the upper reserved section will be reinstalled in general admission sections.
